How planning works at Barton Court
Barton Court provides the setting, structure and practical guidance needed to host a wedding on the estate.
Couples remain in control of the creative and personal decisions, while we offer support around how the spaces are used and how the day flows.
Planning here works best as a collaboration. This allows our knowledge of the estate to interpret your ideas in a workable way.
Suppliers and styling
To ensure weddings at Barton Court run smoothly and to a consistently high standard, catering is provided by our in house, award-winning chef, Felice Tocchini.
He and his brigade will ensure that service, logistics and timings work comfortably across the house, gardens and estate buildings.
For other suppliers — such as florists, photographers, musicians and stylists — couples are free to choose who they work with.
All suppliers are required to provide appropriate references and insurance documentation in advance to ensure the smooth and safe running of events on the estate.
Catering
Catering for weddings at Barton Court is provided by Felice Tocchini, an award-winning chef with an international reputation for excellence.
Creative and imaginative, hugely experienced, he packs his food with flavour. He and his team are very familiar with the estate and how it run which helps to ensure that service, logistics and timings work smoothly across the different spaces used for weddings.
Food is one of the most important elements of a celebration: the memory of a good meal lingers long after the event and we want to make certain that your guests leave with happy memories.
Drinks
Drinks are provided through our in-house bar, which is used for all weddings at Barton Court.
It is under the supervision of Chef Tocchini and allows us to manage a service to a consistent high standard throughout.
Timings, flow and flexibility
One of the biggest advantages of hosting a wedding at The Barton Court Estate is the ability for the day - or weekend - to unfold naturally.
Different spaces across the estate allow for a relaxed progression from one part of the celebration to the next, rather than a fixed schedule.
This makes for a truly relaxed and enjoyable celebration.
We’ll help you think through timings and logistics so that everything runs smoothly, while keeping the overall feel unforced and unhurried.
Support from us
We’re on hand to answer questions, offer guidance on using the estate and help with the practicalities of hosting a wedding at Barton Court.
We don’t act as wedding planners, but we work closely with couples and their chosen suppliers to ensure the estate is used confidently and appropriately.
